Our Services

Krossroads provides a high standard of accommodation, care and tailored support packages for Service Users between the ages of 16 and 21.

Whilst the Service Users may have outgrown a children’s home or foster care, this does not in any way mean that they are ready to cope with the responsibility of looking after themselves, and dealing with some of the complex issues that they have ahead of them once in their own accommodation.

The aim of the service is to help Service Users make the difficult transition from care to living independently in the community. Service users need to have acquired some self-care skills and demonstrate that they are working towards their own independence and have the ability to take on some responsibility of their life.

Each Service User has an individual set of aims and objectives - taking up further education or training opportunities, agreeing to live within a budget and sharing household chores. Support and guidance is given to help Service Users with domestic skills like cooking, cleaning and household management that they may have missed out on as children.

Our offices are located in Church Street Edmonton N9 where we also have a 5 bed 24 hour unit. Our 24 hour unit offers support for the more vulnerable Service User. In addition we have an adjacent 4 flat unit which offers semi-independent living for the more independent Service User. The Service has a team of professional workers dedicated to the development of the Service User, which is the foundation when providing support. The service provided will solely focus on providing semi-independent accommodation and support for Service Users preparing to leave care.

All our units have CCTV coverage of all halls, doorways and communal areas to enable the security of staff and residents alike.

In addition to our unit based services, Krossroads also offers a range of outreach services based in home boroughs. This offers a range of accommodation and support options to best support the individual and diverse needs of our clients. These options include:

  • 24hr one to one support in standalone accommodation
  • 24hr Two to One in standalone accommodation
  • High Support 21+ hours weekly in standalone accommodation
  • Medium Support 11 – 20 hours weekly in standalone accommodation
